Craven and Carteret County Estate Planning Attorney, Cecil S. Harvell

The highest calling of a lawyer is to listen very carefully and intently to the wishes of an estate planning client and then discern and counsel what path of documentation will most likely achieve the client's intention. It is not the duty of the lawyer to rubber stamp these wishes, but rather to discuss these objectives in detail so that the client, who has placed their trust in the lawyer, understands the consequences of the documents they intend to sign. The lawyer must understand that every signature could very likely be the last of a client and as such, the client deserves the lawyer's time, the lawyer's attention and the assurance that every detail has been handled.
